Anyone Out There - Part Deux

OMG!  I can't believe I forgot one of the best moments on television (actually I heard it on Sirius satellite radio) when Bill O'Reilly exploded all over Barney "Sylvester the Cat" Frank.  That was EPIC!!  Barney Frank has got to have one of the silliest lisps (remember - he's gay too) and I was expecting the cameraman to reach around to wipe off the lens - like they do when Geraldo is standing on top of a levee in a hurricane - from all the spit he was producing.  O'Reilly flat out AMBUSHED the congressman - deservedly so - and called him out as a liar and a coward.  BRILLIANT!!
The Dems have no cover for their deceit.  They forced their radical liberal agenda onto FannieMae and FreddieMac by demanding that they give loans to un-creditworthy minority homebuyers.  This is going to sound racist - but facts are factsHow in the hell is a black family in the inner city of Detroit, Chicago, New York, Newark, St. Louis, Dallas, or L.A. going to buy a house with a minimum wage job and a welfare check!?!  How in the hell is a young latina single mother with 4 kids (from 4 different daddies) going to buy a house in the city with a welfare check!?!  Sure, their Democratic representative in Congress (Charlie Rangel, Chuck Schumer, John Conyers, etc.) will look even better to these poor people when election time rolls around because they helped them get a house - roaches, rats and all.  But these same slimeballs also benefitted from these programs for themselves - and wrecked the economy at the same time.
IF YOU LIVE IN A DISTRICT REPRESENTED BY A DEMOCRAT - ESPECIALLY THESE GUYS - THEN YOU MUST VOTE THESE BUMS OUT OF OFFICE IN NOVEMBER!!  THEY ARE THE ONES WHO DID NOTHING AND STOLE YOUR TAX DOLLARS!!  THEY ARE THE ONES WHO REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING, GO ON VACATION AND TRIED TO SILENCE THOSE WHO WANTED TO WORK OUT A SOLUTION TO OUR ENERGY CRISIS.  THE DEMOCRATS LIE, AND THEY WANT TO TAKE AS MUCH AWAY FROM YOU AS THEY CAN!!!

Liberals say the most damn dumba$$ things

I just wish that Hannity would reach across the desk and slap the sh*t out of Colmes or one of these idiots.  Sure, that would probably get him a year behind bars, and maybe even blacklisted - sometimes these clowns need a good whack upside the head to get their attention.  I can't believe that there are people out there that believe some of the crap that falls out of the mouths of Obama, Pelosi, and Reid.

(I think I may have just come up with a new GOP slogan..."Obama, Pelosi and Reid - OH MY!"  Obama can play the Scarecrow because he doesn't have enough brains to fill that over-inflated head of his.  Pelosi could be the Tin Man because she doesn't have a heart for what the people are saying.  And Reid could be the Cowardly Lion because he took off with Pelosi to go on vacation and not face the people either - like a true coward.  Tell me what you think!?)

I was watching/listening to Hannity&Colmes this evening.  The funniest thing happened and it was too bad that the show had to go for a break - cuz it would have been funny to see another unemployed political science major (er, Democratic party 'Strategist') get her tail waxed.  I wish I could remember "Buffy's" name, but it was the segment when they had a panel on arguing over the 2 candidates' energy plans and drilling.  The one GOP analyst was going on about this and that and stated (truthfully) that the Democrats are against drilling for oil - period.  In the background (as is usually the case when an intelligent point is made) you could hear "Buffy" scream out in her shrill nasal voice, "The Democrats are for drilling!".

Oh really!?!  So, they are for drilling?  Not if "Commrade Pelosi" and her eco-nazi supporters can help it!  "Buffy" better check that against what Sen. Salazar (D-CO), Sen. Reid (D-NV), and every single one of the other Democrat liberals that walked out to go on vacation last Friday are saying.  Even if these jacka$$es did lie to their constituents back home and "support" the idea of drilling, they wouldn't do it when it came time to (cough, cough) "go back to work".

Don't let these weasels get away with stealing our government!  Call, Fax, E-Mail, Write, corner the bastards when they show up at home and tell them what you think.  They need to know what "We the People" are in favor of.  No more excuses!  No more games!  No more lies!  We deserve a government that listens to us and not some idiotic group of dimwits from Hollywood, or George Soros, or anyone else that can buy their vote.  If they don't listen, tell your friends and neighbors what rotten representation we have and vote these bastards out of office.

How Did They Miss This?

Well, Obama did it again.  That guy will do anything to get elected.  If you missed his big announcement that he may be in favor of off-shore drilling (if its packaged with other alternative energy plans) then you aren't the only ones.  I like how he
"conveniently" came out with this latest flip-flop the day after Congress packed up for the rest of the summer and told the remaining GOP members to "lock up when you're done playing in the dark".  He did this just so he could let his fellow weasels off the hook.  The timing was uncanny, and the deed was dastardly.  Once again the American public gets screwed over by the Dems and their dirty political games.  Obama wants to come off like he has new ideas and will get the Congress to work on "his" energy plan when he gets elected and make McCain look bad.  This is just another in a series of stunts that these slimeballs pulled in order to maintain power and control of "Pelosi's Politburo".  It is disgusting and shows how little these assholes care about the American public.

***IMPORTANT!!***   I have a website for all of you to go check out.  Its www.emailthecongress.com and from there you can send email maessages to ALL members of the House and Senate.  Its free and fairly easy to do.  I suggest that all who feel as I do about the Congress skipping town and ignoring the will of the people - to flood all their offices with emails (somebody has to go through these) and let them know what we think.  "We're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore!!"

Obama is basically the best (or worst as the case may be) of "Slick Bubba Clinton" and his slimy way of dancing around issues and getting all the media hype -- AND the Ultra-Liberal tendencies of FDR and George McGovern.  If the public is too stupid to see that then we deserve the havoc he'll cause to this country.  Don't let your friends and neigbors fall for this clown.  STOP OBAMA'S SLICK ULTRA LIBERAL CAMPAIGN!!!

Commrade Pelosi

I wonder just how stupid the people of San Fran. really are.  They must still be feeling the effects of all the LSD and pot they smoked back in the 60's.  Let's review shall we?
  • Code Pink continues to have free reign to terrorize military recruiting offices, and enjoys the support of the local government.
  • Gay marriage is instated by the 9th circuit court in direct opposition to the will of the people of California.
  • They fawned all over Barry Bonds the "so-called" home-run king despite the obvious use of steroids to help him achieve the title.
  • Senators Feinstein and Boxer ('nuff said).
  • Speaker of the House "Commrade" Pelosi is their representative.
I have serious doubts over the mental capacity of the people of San Francisco and most of California.

Okay, now the real reason for today's rant... "Commrade" Pelosi continues to stick her fingers in her ears to drown out the voices of the people.  She continues to block any and all attempts to bring the subject of opening off-shore drilling to the floor of the House.  What kind of arrogant, bull-headed, twit does she think she is?  Polls (and you know how politicians LOVE polls) consistently have shown that the American people are for increasing domestic oil production increases - INCLUDING drilling off-shore and even on land.
It appears Commrade Pelosi thinks she's the Premier of her own little Communist Dictatorship known as Congress and can do whatever she wants despite the people's wishes.  The rest of the "Politburo" of this dictatorship (Obama, Rangel, Conyers, Schumer, Reid, etc.) are in lockstep with the idea that the people are too stupid to know what's good for them.  They need to have the all-benevolent Congress tell us that we need to shut-up and take what they give us.

I have taken it upon myself to write (politely) to the Premier and tell her to take her f'ing fingers out of her ears.  I highly doubt that I will be graced with a reply - other than "thank you for writing, but I only will listen to my constituents".  Which brings me back to the beginning of this post.  Why are the people of San Francisco so damn ?@!# stupid?

GRRRR!

Small victory in war on Gas Prices

Yaaaaaay!  Finally something is starting to get done on moving Washington to do something about oil prices.  I'm glad that "W" signed the executive order to open off-shore drilling.  Now if the idiots in Congress will get off their lazy, fat, overpaid a**es then we might be able to start to become the U.S.A. we all remembered before we sold our souls to the Saudis, Venezuela, etc.  For our friends on the left who'll argue about this let's take their points apart one by one:

"Why did it take so long for Bush to do this?"  or  "It's all just politics, so why now and not last year or even longer ago?"  Ok, let's think about this.  Was the price of gas putting as big of a strain on the economy and the public a year ago as it is now?  Not really.  Sure it was starting to become a burden when we hit $3 a gallon, but the "tipping point" really was a combination of how long we've been paying this much and when gas hit $4 a gallon.  The effects of these prices are finally starting to show up now (higher food/commodities prices, etc.).  No, it's not politics...it's just Bush finally got it.  Hate to say it, but it takes a while for the voices of the people to drown out the symphony of crap that big money lobbyists, etc. are playing.  Add to this the fact that the liberal congress hates being called on their complicity in this fiasco.  They are just as much to blame as the last 5 administrations (all the way back to Carter).

"Well, what about the 68 million acres of land the oil companies have leases on?  Why can't they drill there?"  Let me ask a question.  If you had a business plan that you knew was going make you tons of money you'd do it - right?  Do you think that if the oil companies knew there were oil deposits on that land that they would just sit on it and not drill?  I don't think so.  Sure holding the lease on the land is not the best thing to do, but there hasn't been any oil found on any of that land.  There are proven oil reserves found in the waters off the coasts of FL, MS, AL, TX, GA, CA and the ANWR lands as well.  Why would China, Cuba, and others be drilling off OUR shores if there wasn't any oil there?  Just to make us mad?  I don't think so.  (Warning science content) Alaska has probably the biggest oil producing capabilities in the world.  If you believe the evolutionary thing, do you remember something about a "land bridge" between Alaska and Russia thousands of years ago?  Ancient animals and such crossed that land bridge all the time, and these animals, etc. died up there in AK and Russia.  They turned into oil.  Russian oil companies are making huge discoveries of oil in Siberia, and there have been large discoveries of oil in AK as well.  So what's to say that there aren't huge oil deposits in ANWR?

"The oil from ANWR and the off shore drilling won't do anything to lower the prices.  It will take 10 years before we see any of that oil, if there is any."  You must not know how the futures market works.  Speculators are betting - yes, betting - that there will be a decrease in the amount of oil available based on what is going on in the world.  Every time Iran shoots off a rocket, every time Israel threatens Iran, every time anything happens - the price of oil changes.  So if the market were to get word that the U.S. finally grew a pair of nuts and said, "ENOUGH!  We're drilling for our own oil!" - don't you think that the market would back off and start bidding down the price of oil?

"Well, it will be bad for the environment.  The spotted polar fluffy seal bear and Willy the killer whale will lose their natural habitats!"  Oh puh-leeeze!  Look at Norway - one of the 'greenest' nations in the world.  They are drilling off their coasts and pumping lots of oil without any impact whatsoever to their shores.  The ANWR is so small compared to the millions of acres of land that the wildlife up there can inhabit.  If you're so frickin' worried about the caribou up there then have Congress set aside another few hundred acres of tundra elsewhere and call it ANWR 2.0.  Not only that but I guess that when you won't be able to get your venti mocha choco lattes because the Starbucks have all closed down due the coffee not being shipped from the politically correct fields in Columbia or wherever in Africa due to the incredibly high prices of diesel fuel to truck it to your sorry neighborhood - you may actually start to get the picture.  You can't have your cute cuddly caribou and sip your latte too (at least at these prices).

"But we need to not use oil and start using solar or wind power."  I agree in part with that.  But the U.S. cannot be a single source user of energy to move forward to energy independence.  Oil is going to be here to stay for a long time - until a viable energy source to power transportation (ships, trucks, planes, trains, and cars) is discovered.  That is why the economic future of the U.S. is based on oil.  If nothing is moving, then the economy isn't moving.

Bottom line...we need to keep the pressure on the overpaid lazy bums in Congress until our screams of discontent are heard.  Get involved and don't let the responsibility pass on to the next person.  We cannot afford to be complacent, because there are a lot of wrong-headed folks out there who don't get it.  Obama (Dr. No) and his liberal sheep are not going to fix the problems - they will compound them.  Educate yourselves - and your community.

A new Cottage Industry making commercials

I swear I should have stayed in my media major back when I first went to college.  I talked (and goofed around) myself out of a Communications degree.  Seeing all these cheesy ads from every possible energy concern under the sun, I think I missed out on a goldmine.  If you haven't seen any of these ads from the oil & natural gas producers, clean coal coalition, even good folks like T. Boone Pickens and others they all just complicate things.  Just pester the hell out of Government to GET 'R DONE!! (Sorry Larry the Cable Guy)
I agree that America needs to get on the same page.  I also agree that it is possible to supplement our electrical power needs by increasing the share of other resources (i.e. building more nuke power plants, erecting hundreds of thousands more wind turbines, and adding more clean coal plants).  We would be best served if the government (federal, state and local) would get out of the way and let private industry upgrade our power grid across state lines (a la the phone companies).  There is a clear need to do this for several reasons.
   1) Remember that massive blackout a few years ago?  Power was shut down all over the northeast and as far west as Detroit due to the inability of the aging power grids to keep up with demand.
   2) If Americans start buying these electric cars that we keep hearing about debuting in the next 3-7 years, the demand for electricity will certainly double if not triple.
   3) How many of you will be or have already bought a new digital TV recently because of the DTV switch next spring?  They don't run on batteries yet do they?
   4) It is a PROVEN FACT that when the Government tries to do something that a private firm can do...the private firm ALWAYS does it FASTER, CHEAPER, and MORE EFFICIENTLY.

I can tell you from my travels that wind power would be a wise choice.  While I lived in Italy, there were windmills just like the ones you might have seen popping up in the US all over the place.  There is a town a friend of mine lived in where the electricity was FREE and they even were getting money back from the town because their windmills produced enough energy to take care of them and still be able to sell the "extra" energy to neighboring towns.  If you haven't been to west Texas - it gets pretty windy out here.  There are a few wind "farms" out here that allow power companies to sell "green" power solely generated from these farms.  My appliances, etc. didn't notice the difference when they were on.

All I know is that there needs to be a LOT LESS TALK and a LOT MORE ACTION by the Congress and the state governments to get this train out of the station.  America...LET'S GET THIS TRAIN ROLLIN'!!

Howdy! Welcome to TS&H

Well, for my first try at a real live blog - I decided to go "big time" and get on board with TownHall.  I have to let y'all know that living in a border community (El Paso) is like living on the front lines in the immigration/border fence/drug war.  We have a bunch of 1st class doofus' that are on the county commission.  They actually voted to state their opposition with the border fence (like that's going to matter anyway - 'cuz it ain't being built anyway by our lazy a** goverment).  One of these mental midgets even stated that everyone has a RIGHT to live here in the U.S.!  The only anglo (I'm not being racist - just stating fact) on the commission voted against this motion.  Naturally, I immediately sent an email to him thanking him for his support and urged him to continue to fight against this nonsense.  I also wrote a letter to the editor of the El Paso Times newspaper correcting this wrong-headed thinking.

It is NOT a right but a priviledge to live here, and there have been many thousands of men and women who have died to keep it that way.  Of course people can come here and visit or even immigrate here - but all of us should remember that if you are going to choose to come here then you must be held accountable to our laws and statutes just as other citizens are.

Another item that really "chaps" me is that our so-called representation in the Congress has done nothing of note.  Surely there has to be more to governing the affairs of the country than to look down from their lofty station and re-name post offices, declare a national "booger picking awareness month", congratulate the chess club at Zug Island Tech for winning the National Championship, and go after the horrible "Big Oil" executives for high prices.  C'mon America!  Get angry with these people and vote the bastards out.  I don't care if it is an election year... we need action on opening up drilling for oil, funding building more refineries, nuclear power plants, and clean coal processing plants.  I highly recommend going to Mr. Gingrich's website americansolutions.com and getting involved.

GRRRR!!!
